Mitchell Fisher, Founder, Piano Technician, Sales
Mitchell has over a decade of experience working with pianos, largely in a sales and marketing capacity beginning in 2012. He sold over 1000 instruments during that time and is keenly passionate about the industry. He takes joy in finding the right instrument for the right person, knowing full well how meaningful a relationship with a piano can be in someone's life. Even greater than this is the joy he finds in managing the process of reconditioning a piano, seeing it move from a state of neglect and disrepair into its highest potential and then seeing this rejuvenated instrument matched to the right home.
Mitchell is an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild. He is committed to continual education, regularly attending guild meetings and conventions along with training seminars and private mentorship. Mitchell is an experienced and capable piano tuner, regularly active with a tuning hammer since 2019.
In May of 2024 Mitchell completed an intensive two-day seminar conducted by the Piano Technicians Guild in Kansas City. The “Polyester & Lacquer Finish Touch Up Academy” taught attendees how to perform professional repair and touch up to damage on piano finishes. The class covered such areas as touching up edges, scratches and defects to more complex tasks like lacquer and polyester fill repair.
“Things happen to pianos and it’s our job to give PTG members the tools to address issues,” said Norman Cantrell, RPT, President of the PTG. “By offering classes like these, we make sure our client’s pianos not only sound great but also look great as well.”
The PTG is the world’s premiere source of expertise in piano service and technology. PTG grants the Registered Piano Technician (RPT) credential after a series of rigorous examinations that test skill in piano tuning, regulation and repair. RPT's are professionals who have committed themselves to the continual pursuit of excellence, both in technical service and ethical conduct.
